TESTING
Details of our extensive testing protocols and results are detailed below.
TESTING
Step Up Prosthetics has been and continues be committed to learning about the mechanics of prosthetic design and performance. Through this research we understand the importance prosthetic foot performance being validated by testing. By correlating lab results to human application and by collecting details on walking and running gaits. Our testing parameters are backed by human gait studies and have undergone several iterations to account for adjustments made.
The final goal is to comply with all standards from the International Organization of Standards (ISO). Since the customer base is intended for outside of the United States, ISO, global standards for various goods and products, are the most applicable. Specifically, ISO 10328:2016, ISO/TS 16955:2016, and ISO 22675:2016 are the standards that relate to lower limb prosthetics and ankle prosthetics. These consist of static, cyclic, torsional, and ultimate strength tests on the prosthetic foot and its components. They are meant to assess for weaknesses in the design and help highlight room from improvements.
All in continued and dedicated effort to validate the viability of the Step Up Prosthetics foot.
